Tama M. Carey
Tama M. Carey is Senior Vice President for Diakon Senior Living Services. In this role, Ms. Carey is responsible for overseeing the operations of the organization’s Continuing Care Retirement Communities, assisted living communities, and nursing care centers in central Pennsylvania, the Lehigh Valley, and Maryland.
Before joining Diakon, Ms. Carey served as executive director of Green Ridge Village in Newville, Pa., where she was responsible for daily operations of the Continuing Care Retirement Community.
She is a member of the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA), on whose National House of Delegates she was elected to represent Pennsylvania. She also is currently chair of the board of PANPHA, an Association of Pennsylvania Nonprofit Senior Services.
Ms. Carey, who holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Pittsburgh, works in Diakon’s ministry support office in Allentown, Pa., and can be reached by telephone at (610) 682-1216.
