
Linda Ciampi
Linda Ciampi is Senior Vice
President for Diakon Family and Community Ministries. In that role,
she oversees programs ranging from adoption and foster care to counseling
and hospice services, from senior centers and adult day services to
an array of programs for adjudicated youths.
Ms. Ciampi has been a member of the organization since 1998, when
she was hired as Executive Director of Children’s Services by
Lutheran Services Northeast, one of the two organizations that created
Diakon in January 2000. At that time she was named Children’s
Services Executive. She was promoted to Vice President of Congregation,
Children, & Family Services a year later and to Senior Vice President
in 2003. The line of service was renamed Diakon Family & Community
Ministries in 2005.
A graduate of the University of Scranton with a bachelor’s degree
in human services and a master’s degree in counseling education,
she worked for several children’s services programs in northeastern
Pennsylvania before being hired in 1987 as Casework Supervisor for
KidsPeace. She held several positions with that organization, eventually
supervising operations in five states.
Currently enrolled in the master’s degree program in Public Administration
at Marywood University, Scranton, Ms. Ciampi serves as a member of
the Pennsylvania Council of Children, Youth and Families board and
Pennsylvania’s Statewide Adoption Advisory Committee. In 2002, she
was elected vice president/president-elect of the Pennsylvania Council
of Children, Youth and Families, appointed to the board of Berks Children’s
Advocacy Center, and named a committee member of Pennsylvania’s Child
and Family Services Review.
