The Rev. Lisa M. Leber, Esq.
The Rev. Lisa M. Leber is Senior Vice President, Chief Legal & Compliance Officer, with Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries. As such, she oversees all legal and compliance issues within the organization, reporting both to the Chief Executive Officer/President and the Diakon Board of Directors.
Before joining Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries in 2000 as Corporate Compliance Officer, the Rev. Leber served as associate pastor of St. James Lutheran Church in Gettysburg, Pa. She holds a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Bryn Mawr College and her Master of Divinity degree from The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg. She earned her law degree (J.D.) from The Marshall-Wythe School of Law of The College of William and Mary in 1991 and was admitted to the practice of law in Pennsylvania later that year.
The author, with Dr. Norma Wood, of Now Bring Your Joy to this Wedding: Couples in Premarital Preparation, the Rev. Leber is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and served on the Pennsylvania Council of Churches Governing Board. A trained facilitator on board development with the ecumenical Center for Faith-Based Leadership, she is a former member of the board of directors of Tressler Lutheran Services, one of the two organizations that created Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries in January 2000.
