Beckey VanEtten
Beckey VanEtten is Vice President
of Clinical Operations for Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries. As
such, she is responsible for oversight, policy development, standardization,
and regulatory compliance for clinical and clinical-reimbursement
processes within Diakon’s health care-related services.
A 1982 graduate of Reading
Area Community College with an associate’s degree in nursing,
Ms. VanEtten joined Diakon in March 2004 to develop the clinical
operations support unit. She has 15 years’ experience in
the long-term care field, having held positions ranging from certified
nursing assistant to director of nursing and executive for clinical
operations.
Before joining Diakon, Ms. VanEtten
was director of clinical services in Pennsylvania for Genesis
ElderCare, with responsibilities for oversight and direction of
the facility and regional clinical practices within the state.
In addition, she has worked as an independent legal nurse consultant,
having received training from the Legal Nurse Consultant Institute.
She is a member of the Pennsylvania Directors of Nursing Association,
the National Directors of Nursing Association, and the American
Medical Directors Association.
