Diakon Adult Day Services ...

There’s no place like home—which is why Diakon offers adult day services on the Ravenwood campus of Diakon Senior Living – Hagerstown. In many situations, attending our program allows older persons or people with disabilities to live at home or with family members during the evenings and weekends. Providing caregivers with a respite during the weekdays, we offer a comfortable and stimulating setting in which participants benefit from numerous enjoyable, engaging activities and amenities.

An affordable alternative to other forms of care, Diakon Adult Day Services offers a safe, secure environment with a staff that includes registered nurses as well as certified nursing assistants, who provide daily care. Together, we encourage clients’ maximum level of participation, preventing social isolation or premature placement in a care facility.

Dining and socialization

Diakon Adult Day Services at Ravenwood offers a nutritious noon meal to participants as well as snacks served throughout the day. Participants’ social appetite also is satisfied as they enjoy a host of recreational events such as crafts, games, trips, exercise programs, religious events, cooking projects, holiday parties, and intergenerational programs.

Financial information

For those who qualify, financial assistance may be available through Medical Assistance, Commission on Aging Respite funds, ROSE or OHS grant, long-term care insurance, or Veterans Administration. Call the center for more information.

Transportation availability

Transportation is provided by Diakon Adult Day Services at Ravenwood as necessary. Please contact the center for more information.
