The classroom portion of the Diakon Clinical Pastoral Education program takes place in a building on the campus of The Lutheran Home at Topton, a Diakon Senior Living Community in Berks County, Pa. (starred on the map). Here are general directions to The Lutheran Home at Topton. After you are on campus, please follow these directions:

When you enter the campus on Home Avenue, drive up the hill, bearing right at the first “Y” (you cannot bear left). Drive a short distance and as you approach the front of Old Main (the large building with the clock-tower), follow the circle drive to the left in front of the building. As you come around the circle, instead of leaving campus, take the first right. You will pass connected buildings on the left and a small cemetery on the right. When the road ends and you are forced to turn, turn left. Follow the road and turn left into a driveway. CPE is located in Apartment KK#5.

Clinical assignments may take part in a range of settings throughout central and eastern Pennsylvania, with potential primary locations noted on the map below. Directions to these various sites are provided as needed.
