Residents who want to maintain an optimal level of independence, yet need
assistance with tasks such as medication management can enjoy carefree
living at our Personal Care Community. From complete health care supervision
and personal assistance to weekly housekeeping and room service when
needed, Cumberland Crossings’ personal care services are designed
to nurture independence.
Accommodations
We offer tastefully furnished private accommodations, complete with a fully
equipped kitchenette—including a refrigerator and microwave—private
bathroom, wall-to-wall carpeting, window treatments, and individually
controlled heat and air-conditioning.
Residents receive three appetizing and nutritious meals daily in
an appealing dining room, complete with an outdoor dining patio that
overlooks the retirement campus. A private dining area can also
serve as a place for family gatherings or resident birthday parties. An
inviting waiting area adjacent to the dining room is the perfect place for
residents to listen to music, enjoy our aquarium, or simply relax before a
meal or at any time of the day for that matter. A vaulted atrium outside the
dining room allows natural light to fall within the central hall of the
Personal Care Community.
The center hosts additional amenities for residents. The
library/multi-purpose room provides a warm setting in which residents can
watch a movie or read a book. As a hub for events, the activity center
hosts such hobbies as cooking, baking, and crafting. Residents who choose
to do their own laundry may utilize the laundry facility adjacent to the
activity room.
Residents receiving personal care have access to the Community Center
and its various offerings. They may swim in the pool or relax in the
spa. They can enjoy crafts, play cards, exercise,
read a book in the library, play computer games, or watch television in
the lounge. Residents and their families often use the meeting room
for family meetings or discussions. For those who take pleasure in
the outdoors, Cumberland Crossings offers patios, sitting areas, covered
swings, and lighted, paved exercise paths throughout the community.
An Active Lifestyle
Residents receiving personal care choose from numerous
social, recreational, and cultural events that help to make life rewarding
and fulfilling. Whether residents enjoy participating on the Residents
Council, which serves as an informative forum for community happenings, or
they enjoy attending Bible studies, ice cream outings, or plays at nearby
Allenberry Playhouse, our diverse range of events help to maintain an
active lifestyle.
Peace of Mind
Help is available 24 hours a day to assist residents with the tasks of
daily living. Residents also have access to an emergency
call system, which summons help if needed. With that peace of mind, residents are
free to enjoy retirement years.
