The sixth Dining with Diakon – Greater Capital Region was a resounding success! While final totals are still being tabulated, the event is believed to have raised more than $192,000 including gift-in-kind contributions to benefit the Diakon Wilderness Center, which serves at-risk youths from across Pennsylvania. Congratulations to Greg Rhodes for raising the highest amount in the chef challenge! The following guest chefs lent their culinary skills to make the sixth annual Dining with Diakon an evening to remember. Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries extends hearty thanks to all of its guest chefs for their pivotal role in helping to raise these needed funds. The guest chef whose recipe resulted in the highest number of fund-raising votes was Greg Rhodes of R&L Construction Co. He succeeded 2009 defending chef champion Terry Harris. Pictured are the 2010 guest chefs and their sous-chefs from Morrison Senior Dining.
