Welcome to Girls on the Run - Diakon (Lycoming County). Girls on the Run is a life-changing, prevention-focused program for girls in third through eighth grades. The mission of Girls on the Run is “to educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living.”

Girls on the Run combines running-related events (including a three-kilometer race in our summer camp) with healthy-living education. Our programs instill self-esteem and strong values through health education, life skills development, mentoring relationships, and physical training—all of which are accomplished through active collaboration with girls and their parents, schools, volunteers, staff members, and the community.
