With the support of its parent company, Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries-one of the largest Lutheran social ministry organizations in the nation-Diakon Housing and Development enhances neighborhoods by emphasizing a holistic approach to development that never loses focus of a community's vision.

As part of an organization that has been serving people since 1868 and now operates nearly two dozen retirement and housing campuses and free-standing facilities throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, Diakon Housing and Development, Inc., offers our partners the benefits and economies of scale necessary to see a project through completion.
In addition to our development expertise, staff members within Diakon Housing and Development have been managing housing programs for many years. Our current management portfolio takes in several geographic regions and focuses on rental-subsidy housing for older persons and those with disabilities. Among our programs are Luther Meadows & Heilman House at The Lutheran Home at Topton, Frostburg Heights, and Lutherwood.
