How We Work
Diakon Kathryn’s Kloset develops partnerships with a range of corporations and other businesses that donate personal care, educational, and household products including overstock and excess merchandise that would otherwise be disposed, sometimes at significant cost to the corporation.
Diakon Kathryn's Kloset …
- Coordinates procurement of items, deals with vendors and other donors to ensure program continuity, manages the supply of goods and related matters, and ensures effective resource management.
- Compiles statistics on partner non-profit organization needs.
- Tracks and reports donation levels to donor corporations for tax purposes.
- Manages stocking, storage, preservation, accounting, and reporting of donations.
- Visits qualified 501(c)(3) organizations to evaluate and document support requirements, initiates and conducts surveys to develop basic supply needs, analyzes data, and prepares forecasts for needs.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other agencies at the city, state, and national levels as well as commercial and private organizations to advance the mission of Diakon Kathryn's Kloset.
