In addition to our personal care/entrance-fee personal care community and health-care center, Manatawny Manor offers two special programs for those with memory-related illnesses such as Alzheimer’s disease. The Horizons Community is a secure wing of our personal care center, while the Milestones Community encompasses a similar wing of our nursing care center. Each community is consistently staffed with highly trained individuals who encourage residents to lead an active life. Designed to motivate and rekindle memories, both the Horizons and Milestones communities offer activities specifically designed to meet the needs of residents with memory-related conditions.

Adult day services right on site

For those individuals who continue to live in their own homes or with family members during the evenings and weekends but need daytime assistance, Diakon Adult Day Services at Manatawny may be of help. Located on the Manatanwy Manor campus, the program offers weekday adult day care services. Providing a socially active and therapeutic atmosphere for participants, the service offers peace of mind for family members and needed daytime support for at-home caregivers.

Respite care for special needs

Manatawny Manor requires no minimum stay, which means we’re ideal for providing short-term respite care in our personal care and nursing communities, particularly for those returning from the hospital or who need strengthening-focused rehabilitative care. Respite care can assure both resident and family that needed care is right on track. And whether individuals need short- or longer-term care, Manatawny Manor offers multiple levels of care to meet varying needs.

Situated just outside of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, Manatawny Manor—a Continuing Care Retirement Community—offers a quiet suburban atmosphere, with nearby urban amenities. Conveniently located near Rts. 422 and 724, Pottstown offers easy access to locations such as Philadelphia, Reading, and Lancaster County’s Pennsylvania Dutch county, making available a variety of cultural and seasonal events. Manatawny Manor also is close to Pottstown and Phoenixville hospitals, both of which offer a range of care for area residents.

A long tradition of care
