Memory-enhancement care

In addition to traditional nursing and rehabilitative care, Ohesson Manor offers memory-enhancement accommodations and services for residents with illnesses such as Alzheimer’s disease. In a unique, secure setting within the nursing care center, our memory-enhancement program helps residents lead more enjoyable lives by integrating stimulating activities with nurturing attention.

Specially trained in care for those with memory-related conditions, our staff members serve residents in a spacious setting complete with an interior country porch, garden room, secluded courtyard/patio, 50’s-era soda fountain dining area, and spacious living room/gathering room with a fireplace and skylight.

Physically and cognitively stimulating, these exceptional themed areas are designed to help rekindle memories representative of the residents’ younger years. In addition, residents enjoy one-on-one and group activities, such as baking bread in the centrally located kitchen. And with the kitchen’s central location, even residents not involved in the baking benefit from the aromatherapy!

Accommodations

Enjoying private and semi-private accommodations, Ohesson Manor residents delight in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Residents receive delicious home-style meals in elegant dining rooms, worship in our beautiful chapel, and gather in inviting lounges with family and friends. Taking in Ohesson Manor’s peaceful outdoor setting, residents may relax in the gazebo or sit on the patio. Inside and out, Ohesson Manor has a cordial atmosphere.

A diverse social calendar

Our calendar is filled with diverse social, recreational, and cultural events. From one-on-one interaction to organized outings, residents take pleasure in a broad array of activities. Ohesson Manor continues to involve residents in Lewistown community events such as parades, musical concerts, and dramatic performances. With the well-rounded combination of on- and off-campus events, residents enjoy diversified activities and programs.

Our caring and courteous staff members offer around-the-clock care. No matter the time of day or night, residents can be assured that staff will work to meet their needs. In addition, Ohesson Manor offers a 24-hour admission policy because we understand the need for nursing care may arise unexpectedly or after normal business hours. This policy helps to ease the transition for the resident as well as his or her family.
