Your Senior LivingPlus residence consists of a newly renovated and upgraded one-bedroom apartment with full bath including a minimal-threshold walk-in shower and a kitchenette perfect for making breakfast or warming up a bedtime snack. Our suites feature attractive color schemes, new wall-to-wall carpeting in living areas, spacious closets, individually controlled thermostats, window treatments, and an emergency-call system for your peace of mind.

Beyond your private suite, your living space extends to include cozy lounges for entertaining, a formal dining area, a centrally located country kitchen for group events, on-site laundry facilities, and a first-floor library and community room. Plus, Diakon’s focus on cutting-edge retirement-living technology will present you with features and options you may not find elsewhere.

Pocono Lutheran Village’s Senior LivingPlus provides you with the security of living in our community, but with the convenience of a modified-rental option. Featuring a modest and partially refundable entrance fee, our accommodations include a range of services and amenities, including 24-hour emergency-call system, one meal per day, and cultural and recreational programs—for one monthly charge.

Each apartment features wiring for telephone, Internet, and high-definition television service; thermostat with time-of-day controls, specialized lighting for older eyes, including dimmers, scene controls, glare reduction, and increased ambient and task lighting. Options include bundled telephone, Internet and cable-television service; brain-fitness equipment; and supportive-independence systems.

With Senior LivingPlus, you’ll find your options for enjoying life multiplied. You’ll select one meal daily, with the option to purchase more, from a variety of delicious, nutritious choices—no cooking necessary!

You’ll be entertained and enlightened by our range of social and cultural events including themed and holiday gatherings, planned trips, discussion groups, exercise and entertainment programs, and joint projects with adjacent East Stroudsburg University.
