Retirement sets forth a new level of independence. You now have the time
to do what you want to do, and we want to help you use that time the best
way we know how-by taking care of time-consuming tasks such as the home
upkeep. The Cottages, our cordial senior-housing accommodations, will
allow you to enjoy the privacy of your own home without the hassles of
indoor and outdoor maintenance. To make your life as worry free as
possible, routine preventive maintenance is performed on The Cottages
bi-annually. With that peace of mind, you can enjoy your surroundings
without the hassles associated with home upkeep.
Accommodations
Located on the southeastern side of Hagerstown, The Cottages are secluded
in a quiet setting with beautiful tree-lined landscaping. You can chose
from two different styles of cottages: quadraplex, which have four
connected units in one building, or the townhouse style, which offers two
side-by-side units.
Boasting flexible dining and living room space, the quadraplex models
have a laundry room and bathroom with the choice of one or two bedrooms.
Outside conveniences include covered front porches, utility sheds, and
conveniently located parking. Quadraplex cottages can be acquired either
through rental or occupancy-purchase agreements.
The spacious townhouse cottages boast two bedrooms with one or
one-and-a-half baths. These cottages have gas heat with electric
appliances including microwave ovens. Our residents who prefer the
townhouse-style cottage enjoy such options as a patio, screened porch, or
sunroom. Both double and single units are available through
occupancy-purchase agreements only.
The quadraplex and townhouse cottages are equipped with full-size
appliances. In addition, all cottages have gardening areas that can be
maintained by the resident or by the Ravenwood staff.
Social Network
As a small close-knit community, residents enjoy an array of social
opportunities. From volunteerism to shopping excursions and dining out,
our retirement community residents share a comradeship like no other.
Peace of Mind
For your peace of mind, The Cottages are equipped with a call system,
which can bring appropriate response to your doorstep. If a medical need
arises, Ravenwood staff can facilitate arrangements for health-related
services.
