Asking for help doesn't have to mean giving up your independence. At the Buehrle Center for Assisted Living, you get the comfort and freedom you want without the hassles of meal preparation and housekeeping chores. You also get help with everyday tasks—as much or as little as you need.

And as part of the community at Diakon’s Lutheran Home at Topton, you're invited to enjoy the many campus recreational activities, including a fitness center with state-of-the-art exercise equipment, on-site worship services, spiritual support, trips, and a variety of programs. You'll find the Buehrle Center offers the right mix of personal care and independence.

Helping hearts

Everyone can use a little help now and then. And as we get older, sometimes the need for help becomes more frequent. That's where we come in. Helping is our specialty. The Buehrle Center for Assisted Living provides you with the perfect blend of freedom and security. It's independence...with a helping hand.

The Buehrle Center is ideal for those who need occasional assistance with day-to-day tasks, or the peace-of-mind that comes with having someone close by in case assistance is needed. Residents’ needs may be as simple as requiring help with meals, laundry, and housekeeping. Friendly, caring staff members also provide assistance with the daily activities of life, such as dressing, bathing, diet, and medication management.

The spacious private or semi-private rooms, each with a safety-equipped shower, provide plenty of space to call home. You decorate with your own furniture and personal treasures. Nearby activity rooms, patios, cooking areas, and a library provide cozy areas to meet with friends.

The Buehrle lifestyle

Say goodbye to housekeeping chores, grocery shopping, and constant meal preparation. Meals are now a special time to gather regularly with friends and enjoy the food served in our dining room.

The rest of your day is spent doing the things you enjoy. There's a full schedule of activities available on The Lutheran Home at Topton campus. Take a shopping trip, attend a lecture, browse the on-campus community library, or just enjoy the beautiful walking paths and nature trails on the grounds.

And the Buehrle Center offers peace of mind. Each room is equipped with a 24-hour call system, with on-site staff available round the clock. The adjacent Henry Health Care Center provides the security and convenience of health care services right on campus, including doctors' offices, a pharmacy, and full rehabilitation therapy department. In addition, numerous health-related personnel and services are offered on site, including geriatric-certified physicians, dentist, podiatrist, audiologist, opthalmologist, optometrist, consulting dietitian, and select Medicare lab and x-ray testing.
