Thomas Foster

Thomas Foster is executive director of Ohesson. A Bellefonte resident, Mr. Foster has more than a dozen years' senior management experience in hospitals, nursing care centers and Continuing Care Retirement Communities. In addition, he has nearly twice as many years of service in the accounting and financial realm, including 17 in the medical field.

Before joining Ohesson in 2015, he served as chief executive officer/administrator of the Bucktail Medical Center in northern Clinton County. In that role, he led the day-to-day operations of a 64-bed critical access acute facility and a 43-bed nursing care center. In previous roles, Mr. Foster served as a management consultant/interim executive director for a senior living services provider and as assistant administrator, administrator, and executive director of several long-term care centers.

He has served in various roles with the Long-Term Care Council of the Hospital Association of Pennsylvania and the Executive Committee of the Pennsylvania Critical Access Hospital Consortium and is a member of the Pennsylvania Health Care Association, the American College of Healthcare Executive, and LeadingAge PA.

Mr. Foster earned a bachelor's degree from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia and a master's degree in health care administration from the University of Phoenix.
