"Someone should do something about it!"
Dear Friend of Diakon,
It happens all the time. There is a problem, the solution seems simple, but for some reason the situation never gets any better. It's so frustrating!
Except in one very important instance—Diakon Kathryn's Kloset—a unique and successful program that serves as a pipeline for quickly getting excess items from businesses to the needy.
Diakon Kathryn's Kloset is successful because it creatively partners with corporations, businesses and non-profit agencies, performing as the hub that unites a variety of spokes into a wheel of service for our neighbors in need.
By faithfully following the principles of partnering, gathering, and sharing, Diakon Kathryn's Kloset takes unused, extra, and overstocked items and directs them to people who really need them.
But to keep that pipeline open, we need help from caring neighbors like you. That's why I'm urging you to be "the someone who does something about a problem" by contributing to our Winter Drive for Neighbors in Need.
Your gift today of $15, $25, or even $35 or more will make sure diverse items such as laundry detergent, school supplies, food, toiletries, and sneakers to people in need.
You see, it takes money to collect, store, sort, re-package and distribute donated goods to individuals and families. That's why you are so important. Your gift supports the vital effort.
Please help. Times are challenging and requests for help are on the rise. The warehouse is full of items ready to be shared and you are the key to making sure goods can continue to flow through the Diakon Kathryn's Kloset pipeline.
May God bless you, and thank you for being "the someone" who "does something" to help neighbors in need.
Yours in Christ's Service,

Mark T. Pile, MSHA, MSW
President/CEO
P.S. Please make a gift or $15, $25, $35 or even $50 or more as soon as possible so we can share items that are on hand right now. Again, thank you for "doing something about it!"
