The Brandywine Program, a state-funded program in Delaware operated by Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries, has been providing mobile crisis intervention to youths at risk of psychiatric hospitalization since the late 1980s.

In recent years, the program has expanded services to offer ACT (Access to Community Treatment), which serves the chronic mental-health needs of youths and their families looking for an alternative to psychiatric hospitalization or more restrictive treatments.
