Counseling is not just for adults. Children and teens often benefit immensely from talking about their concerns. To meet children's special needs, our services include children's and play therapy, individual and family therapy, and group counseling.
In addition to center-based counseling services, Diakon Family Life Services - Upper Susquehanna also has the contract to provide a range of school-based counseling in the South Williamsport Area School District.
The center also offers tele-psychiatry technology to connect clients and their psychiatrist, similar to having a face-to-face visit with the doctor, although the doctor is in another location. The service is one more way Diakon Family Life Services strives to meet the needs of this region. The service is offered from 1 to 5 p.m. Fridays at the Williamsport counseling center.
