Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries takes pride in providing quality accommodations and services at affordable rates. In fact, we offer flexible pricing on our retirement accommodations to make them affordable to as many people as possible. For example, many of our accommodations offer a refund* of your original occupancy entrance fee, ranging from zero through 90 percent, based on the fee level you choose.
With this type of flexibility and refund schedule, you can be assured your decision to enjoy the Diakon Senior Living lifestyle makes financial sense!

Monthly service fee
In addition to the entrance fee, residents pay a modest monthly service fee. The comprehensive fee includes 24-hour response system, maintenance of buildings and appliances, snow removal, lawn care, grounds upkeep, garbage collection, outside electricity, property insurance, and non-resident-related pest control.
Residents are responsible for gas, electricity, telephone service, tenant insurance (on building contents), and television cable services. A $100 non-refundable application-processing fee, payable upon submission of application, is required.

Monthly service fee includes:
- Lawn care and landscaping
- Snow and leaf removal
- Trash removal
- 24-hour emergency-response system
- Interior and exterior maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and appliances provided in cottage
- Insurance on buildings and grounds
- Transportation to medical appointments
- Staff and administrative costs
- Pest control
- Recreational activities
- Regularly scheduled transportation
