Volunteers are crucial to the mission and service of Diakon Lutheran Senior Living – Hagerstown. We rely on a dedicated corps of volunteers who help to make life for residents interesting and varied, linking them to the larger community.

The Ravenwood Community ...

We have the current need for volunteers ...

• Companion to resident during doctor visits
• Help in all areas of activities (giving manicures, help with bingo, baking, transporting residents in wheelchairs to activities, taking for walks outside, etc.)
• Office duties (copying, putting together brochures, answering phones, etc.)

The Robinwood Community ...

We currently need volunteers to call BINGO, to operate the Country Store, to assist residents on outings and physician appointments and to provide one-on-one interaction (such as helping to write letters, teach computer access, and work on hobbies). We can always use more assistance in providing the “extras” that make life rewarding and enjoyable for residents.
