A Balance of Independence and Assistance
Residents who want to maintain an optimal level of independence, yet need
assistance with daily tasks, can enjoy carefree living in our beautifully
adorned Assisted Living Center. Offering all the conveniences of home,
our assisted living services are complete with medication management,
on-site health care, monitored exercise, strengthening programs,
specialized diets, therapeutic recreational activities, and social work
consultation.
Accommodations for those with memory-related illnesses such as
Alzheimer's disease are available in The Horizons, a secure unit within
our assisted living community. Our assisted living accommodations also
offer shorter-term respite stays. No matter which accommodations meet your
needs, our Assisted Living Center helps residents to enjoy their
retirement years.
Accommodations
We offer handicap-accessible private, semi-private, and efficiency suites
that have a homelike setting. All suites are equipped with a private bath
and shower, wall-to-wall carpeting, window treatments, and a storage
closet. Our efficiency apartments offer an integrated kitchen. Residents
may choose to bring their own furniture, or Manatawny Manor can supply
furnishings. In addition, all suites have individual thermostats for air
conditioning and heat control.
Three delicious meals are served daily in our beautiful dining room. A
gift shop is conveniently located in the center, offering residents an
opportunity to purchase cards, candy, crafts, gifts, and toiletry
items. Cozy lounge areas present the perfect atmosphere for conversing
with friends or entertaining family. A well-appointed library is
available, and many residents enjoy our book club, hosted in conjunction
with the Chester County Library. The Assisted Living Center also boasts a
large activity room that has a full kitchen, a piano, and a television for
residents to enjoy.
Housekeeping and linen services are available. Residents may opt to use
the Assisted Living Center's laundry service or, for those who choose to
do their own laundry, a private resident laundry room is available.
Social Opportunities
Social opportunities abound at Manatawny Manor. Offering residents an
active lifestyle, the activities calendar boasts numerous events. From
Bible studies to luncheon outings, we offer a range of social, cultural,
and recreational opportunities. Residents may choose to sit on the food
committee, on which they not only can offer menu-selection suggestions,
but also may help to prepare and serve food. Pumpkin bread has become a
favorite of the committee and the residents!
The Assisted Living Center also features a spacious outdoor patio where
residents can relax or simply enjoy the scenery and the change of
seasons. Several community organizations provide intergenerational
interaction through educational, social, and civic events.
Peace of Mind
Residents and their families have the peace of mind knowing the Assisted
Living Center includes access to 24-hour, on-site health care. Registered
nurses, licensed practical nurses, or resident assistants are available at
all times. For additional comfort, residents have an emergency-call system
available. For extra security, emergency pull-cords are located in
residents' bath and shower rooms. With this peace of mind, residents may
live each day to its fullest.
