Requirements:

Education/Training: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BS in Nursing preferred; current State license to practice as a Registered Nurse required; maintenance of license by performing necessary continuing education requirements.Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills to interact with all in-house departments, physicians, residents, and residents' families; knowledge of drug interactions, side effects, and incompatibilities; knowledge of hazardous materials, bloodborne pathogens and infection control procedures; knowledge of State Supplement to the MOS and electronic submission; thorough knowledge of current long-term care nursing practices in accordance with the State Department of Health long-term care licensure regulations and federal health care financing administration; decision-making skill and ability to exercise independent judgment when evaluating food intake; proficient assessment skills; proficient PC skills; proficient organizational skills; current CPR certification (or eligibility and pursuit of certification); ability to bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach and perform other motor skills, as well as lifting items up to 50 lbs.; visual and auditory skills. Experience: A minimum of one (1) year experience in related restorative nursing program normally required.
