Offered in a homelike setting, our personal care services—including an entrance-fee option—encompass medication management, on-site health care, monitored exercise, strengthening programs, specialized diets, recreational activities, and social-work consultation.

In addition, accommodations for those with memory-related illnesses such as Alzheimer’s disease are available in The Horizons Community, a secure unit within our personal care community. Our personal care accommodations also offer shorter-term respite stays. No matter which service meets your need, our personal care community can help you or a loved one to enjoy retirement years.

Accommodations just like home

We offer handicap-accessible private, semi-private, and efficiency suites that feature a comfortable, secure environment. All suites are equipped with a private bath and shower, wall-to-wall carpeting, window treatments, and a storage closet. Our efficiency apartments offer an integrated kitchen. Residents may choose to bring their own furniture or, for your convenience, Manatawny Manor can supply furnishings. In addition, all suites have individual thermostats for air conditioning and heat control.

Three delicious meals are served daily in our beautiful dining room. A gift shop is conveniently located in the center, offering residents an opportunity to purchase cards, candy, crafts, gifts, and toiletry items. Cozy lounge areas present the perfect atmosphere for conversing with friends or entertaining family. A well-appointed library is available, as are computer and fitness rooms.

In addition, our personal care community boasts a large activity room with a full kitchen, piano, and television for residents to enjoy. Manatawny Manor also features Dakim [m]Power brain-fitness systems for residents to enjoy while improving or maintaining mental skills.

Housekeeping and linen services are provided. Residents may opt to use the personal care community’s laundry service; for those who choose to do their own laundry, a private resident laundry room is available.

Social opportunities galore

Social opportunities abound at Manatawny Manor. Offering residents an active lifestyle, our activities calendar boasts numerous events. From Bible studies to luncheon outings, we offer a range of social, cultural, and recreational opportunities. Residents, for example, may choose to assist with the food committee, on which they not only can offer menu-selection suggestions, but also may help to prepare food. Pumpkin bread has become a favorite of the committee and the residents!

Our personal care center also features a spacious outdoor patio where residents can relax or simply enjoy the scenery and the change of seasons. And several community organizations provide intergenerational interaction through educational, social, and civic events.

Residents and their families enjoy peace of mind from knowing that the personal care community includes access to 24-hour, on-site health care. Licensed practical nurses or resident assistants are available at all times.

For additional comfort, residents have an emergency-call system available. For extra security, emergency pull-cords are located in residents’ bath and shower rooms. With such comfort and security, residents and their families may live each day to its fullest.
