In every community served by Diakon Medical Group, a dedicated nurse practitioner is on campus Monday through Friday. That presence allows the practitioner to make it a priority to know residents and understand their medical needs. This emphasis ensures individualized, compassionate care. Sharing responsibility for that care is a fellowship-trained, board-certified physician who specializes in the care of older adults and is available to see residents on a regular basis, as well as when a sudden change in health occurs.
Benefiting residents in every level of care
In addition to caring for residents in need of skilled nursing or long-term care services, our clinicians see personal care and independent living residents. And whether those residents need a flu shot or have a cold, they can make an appointment quickly and easily.
Not feeling well on the weekend? No need to worry.
A Diakon Medical Group clinician provides weekend coverage for our participating senior living communities and can approve labs, order x-rays, start antibiotics and much more.
