The Henry Health Care Center offers an extensive array of health care services in a residential setting. Both private and semi-private rooms are large and comfortable. We encourage residents to decorate with cherished personal items, such as photographs, mementos, or a favorite chair. Resident enjoy meals that are appetizing and nutritious, served in our spacious dining room. Care is taken to meet special dietary needs.

Health and wellness

Whether you or your loved one is in need of short-term rehabilitation or longer-term comprehensive medical care, the team of highly qualified physicians, nurses, therapists and nurses aides at the Henry Health Care Center are ready to help. Physicians specializing and certified in geriatrics are available to residents. Other health care services available on-site include a podiatrist, dentist, audiologist, optometrist, pharmacy, and select medical lab and x-ray testing.

Our staff members care for the whole person, serving to enhance physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Pastoral care is available to everyone, and all are invited to participate in the many therapeutic, recreational, and social activities offered at the center and on the campus of The Lutheran Home at Topton. These activities include musical performances, movies, and a fitness center with state-of-the-art exercise equipment.

A variety of worship opportunities are available to all residents. Regular worship is held in the multi-purpose room of the Henry Health Care Center on Sundays and during the week, usually led by the staff chaplain. Grace Congregation, a recognized congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America served by an ELCA rostered leader, holds worship services on campus in the Henry Auditorium.

Rehabilitation therapy and SpecialCare

A special advantage of the Henry Health Care Center is the fully equipped rehabilitation therapy department. Our rehabilitation team designs personalized physical, occupational, and speech/language therapy programs to help each person maintain and improve his or her strength, skills, and mobility.

The Lutheran Home at Topton also focuses on serving individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and similar forms of memory-related illnesses. The Henry Health Care Center provides continued specialized care at two distinct levels as a resident’s illness and care needs change.
