Center Point Day Program

The Diakon Center Point Day Program is a day treatment program that meets Monday through Friday, with a focus on managing participants’ behaviors and assisting them to develop a range of academic and community-integration skills.

The program is designed as an option to avoid residential placement of youths adjudicated dependent or delinquent who need behavioral and educational intervention in a community-based setting. The program serves males ranging in age from 14 to 21, with a minimum enrollment of 10 weeks.

The Center Point Day Program is based at the Diakon Wilderness Center. Like the center’s other services, the program embraces as its core values advancement of the Balanced And Restorative Justice (B.A.R.J.) principles of community protection, accountability, and competency development. These values are taught through the programs’ five pillars of respect, responsibility, effort, trust, and courage.
