Jennifer Sharp

Jennifer Sharp is Vice President for Senior Living Servcies operations. In this role, she works with local executive directors on operation of Diakon’s Continuing Care Retirement Communities.

Ms. Sharp brings more than 20 years of experience in the long-term care/post-acute sector to Diakon Senior Living Services, which includes skilled nursing health-care centers, personal care (assisted living in Maryland), independent living, rehabilitation and overall Continuing Care Retirement Communities.  

Before joining Diakon, she served as Executive Director of a Continuing Care Retirement Community, as Senior Administrator of a health-care organization—a role in which she also served as mentor for new Nursing Home Administrators, participated in quality-assurance activities, served on the NHA Council and provided oversight to various senior living campuses—and as a director of sales and marketing focused on census development for three levels of care.

Ms. Sharp holds a bachelor’s degree in social work, with a minor in gerontology, and family and child services from Bloomsburg University in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. She has licenses as both a nursing home administrator and a personal care home administrator.
