Swift Water Awareness /Basic Kayaking

We will cover requirements in PA for small non-powered boats.  Basic kayaking skills, Identifying natural and manmade water hazards. How to properly don a personal flotation device. Review techniques for self-rescue in moving water.

This course is for people who wish to start kayaking/canoeing in local lakes and rivers in PA.  It is just an overview no equipment is required.

This course is offered in conjunction with the SHFD Dive, Rescue & Recovery Team. Donations benefit Diakon & the dive team.
