Center Point Summer of Success Program

What is the Center Point Summer of Success?

The Summer of Success program is an 11-week summer program hosted by the Center Point Day Program at the Diakon Wilderness Center.

We have several exciting opportunities lined up for students this year. In addition to credit recovery support from a CAIU Special Education teacher for high school-aged students, we will also be offering an entrepreneurship program for students not participating in credit recovery. This program will enable students to create and develop their own business ideas and sell their products for profit.

Furthermore, Center Point will be providing community service opportunities for students to earn funds from our Second Chance Fund, which can be used to assist with fines and court costs. Students without fines can utilize these funds for items such as clothing, vocational/work attire, or other approved materials.

All students will also engage in restorative activities and competency development sessions, covering topics such as anger management, substance awareness, and social-emotional learning. Diakon Family Life Services will be available for telehealth support for students in need of drug and alcohol services.

Lastly, students will have the chance to participate in adventure-based learning activities utilizing high-challenge courses, low ropes, and team-building exercises led by our experienced staff.
